We integrated the pricing and stock data from the ERP system in real time into Android and iOS handheld terminal and smartphone apps, letting staff look up product information instantly from any device on the shop floor.

Result

Store processes sped up significantly, and the need for manual checks — and the extra staff that required — dropped considerably.

Text Detection & Translation from Images for a Human Rights Project

A non-profit human rights initiative

Challenge

Banners and written material photographed in crisis regions used non-standard fonts, making it difficult to automatically read and translate the content.

Solution

Using Python and OpenCV, we built an image-processing system that could detect non-standard fonts in real photographs; the detected Arabic text was then automatically translated to support human rights research.

Result

The project helped analyze and make sense of visual material from crisis regions quickly, providing technical support to human rights advocacy work.
